Drive from Leh airport, then transfer to the hotel for welcome drinks followed by breakfast. Overnight stay at Leh.

Have breakfast and spend the rest of the day at leisure to acclimatize. There are optional visits to the Leh palace, Shey, Hemis gompas, and Thikse. Head for some last-minute shopping in the Leh market and return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Start the day with a drive to Likir (54 km), which takes 1-2 hours. Commence the trek from Likir, which goes parallel to a motorable road that ascends to Phobe La (3580 m). From the pass, leave the motorable road to take a descending track leading to a gorge, which finally takes you back on the road. At this point, one can view Sumdo village with its few houses. Leave the road again to climb up to Chagatse La (3630 m) after crossing the stream on a wooden bridge. One can see the Yangthang village, where the camp will be setup for the night.

The next day, start with a relatively short walk to Hemis Shukpachan village. On the way, cross Tsermangchan La (3720 m) to get to the village, which has its own beauty with a rich cultural background, myths, and mysteries. There are a bunch of juniper trees on one side, which are not disturbed by the villagers because of a superstitious belief they attach to them. There are a couple of guest houses and homestays in the village where you can spend the night.

Today, cross a pass called Meptek La (3980 m), after which you will reach the Ang village. Following the trail board, the waiting vehicles will be driven back to Leh, stopping en route to visit the Alchi Monastery.

Early in the morning, transfer to Leh airport to head home.
